Important game to mention about took place in Moletai. Thirteenth ranked Ezerunas-Karys (7-17) saved a 1-point victory at home edging higher ranked Nafta-Uni. (11-14) 90-89 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Nafta-Uni.. The hosts were ahead by 3 points but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 24-22 run, which allowed them to win the game. Ezerunas-Karys players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. Point guard Evaldas Rastenis (184-89) nailed 26 points and 5 assists for the winning side and forward Evaldas Baniulis (201-87, college: S.Carolina) accounted for 23 points and 4 assists. Ezerunas-Karys' coach Arnas Kazlauskas allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Center Deividas Keburys (202-90) came up with 31 points and 6 rebounds and forward Raidas Nacius (196-91) added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Nafta-Uni. in the defeat. Ezerunas-Karys moved-up to twelfth place. Nafta-Uni. at the other side keeps the ninth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Silute. Ezerunas-Karys will play against higher ranked Silute (#10) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nafta-Uni. will play against the league's leader Suduva-Mantinga having rather not much hope for a victory.
