There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Titans (6-9) were defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Saarlouis (5-10) 84-72 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American guard Ricky Easterling (188-83, college: Bridgewater) who scored 29 points. His fellow American import forward Brennan McElroy (201-91, college: Indianapolis) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Saarlouis players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Walter Simon (202-89, college: Cumberland) who recorded 19 points and 6 rebounds and American point guard Randal Holt (185-91, college: Kent St.) added 17 points respectively. Titans' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Saarlouis moved-up to tenth place in South, which they share with Licher Baeren. Loser Titans keep the ninth position with nine games lost. Saarlouis will face higher ranked Giants (#3) in Noerdlingen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
