BBL top team - Brose Baskets (15-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventeenth ranked BG Goettingen (4-14) in Bamberg 113-92. The game was mostly controlled by Brose Baskets. BG Goettingen was better in third quarter 26-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Brose Baskets made 24-of-29 charity shots (82.8 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 35 assists. BG Goettingen was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. International Daniel Theis (204-92, agency: Octagon Europe) had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international Lucca Staiger (195-88, college: Iowa St.) chipped in 22 points during the contest. Brose Baskets' coach Andrea Trinchieri felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American power forward Harper Kamp (203-88, college: California) with 26 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and his fellow American import point guard Khalid El-Amin (178-79, college: Connecticut) scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Five Brose Baskets and four BG Goettingen players scored in double figures. Brose Baskets have an impressive 13-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 15-2 record. BG Goettingen at the other side keeps the seventeenth place with 14 games lost. Brose Baskets will play against bottom-ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (#18) in Weissenfels in the next round which should be another easy win for them. BG Goettingen will play at home against the league's second-placed Bayern Muenchen and hopes to get back on the winning track.
