Regular Season Round 15: Elchingen - Noerdlingen 76-84

The biggest surprise of round 15 in ProB was guest Giants' (9-6) road victory over 3rd placed Elchingen (8-7) 84-76 on Sunday evening. 26 personal fouls committed by Elchingen helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American guard Brandon Lockhart (185-90, college: Drury) who scored 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import forward Jordan Talbert (198-91, college: Missouri So.) chipped in 17 points. Four Giants players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Brian Butler (194-91, agency: Mansfield and Associates) who recorded 22 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Lorne Jackson (188-90, college: Pepperdine) added 16 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals respectively. Elchingen's coach Dario Jerkic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Giants moved-up to third place in South. Elchingen at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Leipzig and Fraport SKY II. Giants are looking forward to face Saarlouis (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Elchingen will play against Titans (#9) in Dresden and is hoping to win this game.
