There was no surprise when 8th ranked Wuerzburg (7-9) was outleveled by fifth ranked Fraport Skyliners II (9-7) in Frankfurt 94-74 on Saturday. Fraport Skyliners II made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Quite impressive performance for Lithuanian swingman Tomas Dimsa (195-94) who helped to win the game recording 24 points. Forward Stefan Ilzhoefer (201-95) contributed with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Fraport Skyliners II players scored in double figures. Forward Felix Hoffmann (195-89) replied with 18 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Constantin Ebert (185-96) added 15 points and 5 assists in the effort for Wuerzburg. Wuerzburg's coach Peter Guenschel let to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Fraport Skyliners II moved-up to fourth place in South. Loser Wuerzburg dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. Fraport Skyliners II will face Titans (#9) in Dresden in the next round where they are favorite. Wuerzburg will play on the road against the league's leader Ehingen/Urspringschule in Allmendingen and hope to win that game.
