Second Stage Round 2: Delikatesas - Rasai 92-93

A very interesting game took place in Joniskis. It ended with only one-point home defeat of 11th ranked Delikatesas (9-19) to thirteenth ranked Rasai (9-18) 93-92 in the fight for the eleventh place. Delikatesas was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 25-17 third quarter run of Rasai. They shot 61.8 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. It was a very good performance for American guard Gabriel Moton (191-91, college: Brandeis) who helped to win the game recording 23 points. Zydrunas Kelys (187-87) contributed with 20 points and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Darius Griskenas (194-84) replied with 23 points and guard Sarunas Kulevicius (191-89) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Delikatesas. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Rasai moved-up to eleventh place. Delikatesas lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with 19 games lost. Rasai's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Lietkabelis-2 (#14) in Panevezys. Delikatesas will play on the road against Petrochema in Jonava and hope to win that game.
