Regular Season Round 19: Finke Baskets - Hanau 64-75

Rather expected game in Paderborn where 14th ranked Finke Baskets (5-14) were defeated by eleventh ranked White Wings (8-11) 75-64 on Saturday. White Wings outrebounded Finke Baskets 41-25 including a 41-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Finke Baskets were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for forward Robin Christen (202-91) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Kruize Pinkins (201-93, college: USF) helped adding 14 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side American guard Matt Vest (196-92, college: Wright St.) responded with 14 points and 5 rebounds and Canadian Nick Tufegdzich (203-92) scored 14 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted White Wings maintains eleventh place with 8-11 record, which they share with Baunach. Finke Baskets lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 14 games lost. White Wings will face higher ranked Kirchheim Knights (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Finke Baskets will play against Hamburg (#5) and hope to win that game.
