Very expected game when 7th ranked Stevnsgade (3-16) was rolled over at home by first ranked Horsens IC (18-1) 100-64 on Sunday. The game without a history. Horsens IC led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Horsens IC outrebounded Stevnsgade 42-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Bosnian swingman Vedran Borovcanin (200-85) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. International guard Gabriel Lundberg (193-94) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Horsens IC players scored in double figures. American power forward Alonzo Brooks (201-84, college: Central Mo.) produced 21 points and 8 rebounds and the former international point guard Mikael Nielsen (178-90) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Horsens IC. Defending champion maintains first place with 18-1 record. Stevnsgade lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh position with 16 games lost. Horsens IC will face league's second-placed Bakken in Aarhus in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Stevnsgade will play on the road against Naestved (#3) and hope to win that game.
