The game had a very big importance for third-ranked U-Banca TR as it allowed them to take a leadership position. U-Banca TR smashed 11th ranked BC Timisoara in Cluj 94-69. U-Banca TR have a solid series of four victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Oradea and Targu Mures.
