Leader Suduva-Mantinga delivered the twenty fourth victory on Friday night. This time they crushed 5th ranked Perlas-MRU (16-13) 96-60 in Marijampole. The game without a history. Suduva-Mantinga led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Suduva-Mantinga forced 22 Perlas-MRU turnovers. Forward Ignas Labutis (198-94) stepped up and scored 18 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners and forward Donatas Sabeckis (197-92) chipped in 14 points and 5 assists. Forward Arnas Berucka (196-97) responded with 9 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Lukas Kvedaravicius (205-97) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Suduva-Mantinga. They maintain first place with 24-4 record. Perlas-MRU lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with 13 games lost. Suduva-Mantinga will meet league's second-placed Vytis in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Perlas-MRU will play against Telsiai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
