No shocking result in a game in Frankfurt where fourth ranked Fraport Skyliners II (10-7) won against 9th ranked Titans (7-10) 90-86 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Fraport Skyliners II made 25-of-30 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Titans' players. Lithuanian swingman Tomas Dimsa (195-94) stepped up and scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and Niklas Kiel (207-97, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). American point guard Randal Holt (185-91, college: Kent St.) responded with 29 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals and guard Philipp Lieser (194-89, college: Cent.Washington) scored 25 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Fraport Skyliners II maintains fourth place in South with 10-7 record. Loser Titans dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. Fraport Skyliners II will face Speyer (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Titans will play against the league's leader Ehingen/Urspringschule (#1) and hope to win that game.
