Regular Season Round 17: Licher Baeren - Weissenhorn 74-72

There was a minor upset when 7th ranked Weissenhorn Youngstars (7-10) were edged on the road by tenth ranked Licher Basket (6-11) 74-72 on Saturday. Naturalized American swingman Elijah Allen (195-89, college: NW Missouri St.) stepped up and scored 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and Spanish point guard Nil Angelats (185-93) chipped in 14 points and 5 assists. American point guard Christopher Anderson (170-92, college: San Diego) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 assists and power forward Nils Mittmann (201-79) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Four Licher Basket and five Weissenhorn Youngstars players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Licher Basket maintains tenth place in South with 6-11 record. Weissenhorn Youngstars lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with ten games lost. Licher Basket will face higher ranked USC Leipzig (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
