Regular Season Round 17: Iserlohn - Itzehoe 72-59

ProB top team - Iserlohn (14-3) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat seventh ranked Itzehoe (8-9) 72-59. Iserlohn made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Center Marcel Kessen (207-97, agency: Octagon Europe) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Kristof Schwarz (186-87, agency: Court Side) contributed with 12 points and 6 assists for the winners. Point guard Flavio Stueckemann (187-85) answered with 17 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Adrian Breitlauch (193-93) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Itzehoe. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Iserlohn. They maintain first place in North with 14-3 record. Itzehoe at the other side keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. Iserlohn's next round opponent will be Recklinghausen (#11) at home and are hoping to win another game. Itzehoe will play against RSV Eintracht (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
