Regular Season Round 17: Chernomorets - Rilski 88-104

Very expected game when 10th ranked Chernomorets (2-15) lost to fourth ranked Rilski (11-6) in Burgas 88-104 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Rilski. Chernomorets managed to win fourth quarter 33-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rilski looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American guard Tristan Carey (193-91, college: Longwood) nailed 22 points for the winning side and the former international guard Yordan Bozov (191-79, agency: Global Sports Plaza) accounted for 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. American point guard Hunter Williams (183-92, college: Troy) came up with 21 points and 9 assists and forward Konstantin Koev (196-91) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Chernomorets in the defeat. Five Rilski and four Chernomorets players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Rilski maintains fourth place with 11-6 record. Chernomorets lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. Rilski will meet at home higher ranked Beroe (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Chernomorets will play against Cherno More (#6) in Varna and hope to secure a win.
