The game between twelfth ranked Rasai (10-19) and 13th ranked Ezerunas-Karys (9-20) in Raseiniai on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Rasai outscored guests from Moletai 113-82. Rasai had a 31-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 51.4 percentage. Rasai looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Guard Darius Gricius (195-86) notched 26 points and 5 assists to lead the effort and American guard Gabriel Moton (191-91, college: Brandeis) supported him with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Even 16 points and 7 rebounds by center Tomas Zdanavicius (204-96) did not help to save the game for Ezerunas-Karys. Forward Evaldas Baniulis (201-87, college: S.Carolina) added 14 points. Five Rasai and four Ezerunas-Karys players scored in double figures. Ezerunas-Karys' coach Arnas Kazlauskas gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Rasai moved-up to eleventh place. Loser Ezerunas-Karys keeps the thirteenth position with 20 games lost. Rasai will meet at home higher ranked Petrochema (#8) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Ezerunas-Karys will play against Lietkabelis-2 (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
