An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Hannover. Top-ranked Hannover faced their biggest opponent TG Neuss. Host Hannover (14-0) defeated guests from Neuss (12-3) 79-68. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of TG Neuss. Hannover forced 26 TG Neuss turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American Melissa Jeltema (175-88, college: Oakland) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!) and 4 assists (made all of her eight free throws). Forward Stefanie Grigoleit (186-89) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American guard Marquita Waller (180-88, college: VCU) replied with 12 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals and power forward Jana Heinrich (188-86, college: San Diego St.) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for TG Neuss. Five TG Neuss players scored in double figures. Hannover have an impressive 14-game winning streak. They maintain first position in North with 14-0 record. TG Neuss at the other side keep the second place with three games lost. Hannover will play against Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. TG Neuss will play against Barmer TV and hope to get back on the winning track.
