Regular Season Round 21: Giessen 46ers - s.Oliver Baskets 81-79

A very interesting game took place in Giessen. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of higher ranked s Oliver Baskets (12-8) to eleventh ranked Giessen 46ers (9-11) 81-79 on Saturday evening. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Giessen 46ers players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The best player for the winners was British center Gabriel Olaseni (211-91, college: Iowa, agency: Pensack Sports) who scored 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Nigerian-American power forward Suleiman Braimoh (203-89, college: Rice) chipped in 16 points. Giessen 46ers' coach Denis Wucherer allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Seth Tuttle (203-92, college: N.Iowa) who recorded 23 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import guard Cameron Long (193-88, college: George Mason, agency: Inception Sports) added 15 points and 5 assists respectively. Newly promoted Giessen 46ers maintains eleventh place with 9-11 record. s Oliver Baskets at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost. Giessen 46ers' next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (#18) in Weissenfels and are hoping to win another game.
