Regular Season Round 18: Dresden - Ehingen 83-74

Top ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule (15-3) recorded its third loss in Dresden on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by ninth ranked Titans (7-11) 83-74. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Ehingen/Urspringschule. Titans looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Randal Holt (185-91, college: Kent St.) who scored 24 points and 9 assists. Center Max von der Wippel (207-94) chipped in 8 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Daniel Berger (203-90, college: BYU-Hawaii) who recorded a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and Tobias Jahn (204-86, college: Cal Poly Pomona) added 16 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively. Four Ehingen/Urspringschule players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Titans moved-up to seventh place in South, which they share with Weissenhorn and Wuerzburg. Ehingen/Urspringschule at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Titans is looking forward to face Wuerzburg (#8) on the road in the next round. Ehingen/Urspringschule will play against Elchingen (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
