Regular Season Round 19: Fraport SKY II - Weissenhorn 87-83

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Fraport Skyliners II (11-8) defeated 8th ranked Weissenhorn Youngstars (7-12) in Frankfurt 87-83 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Fraport Skyliners II looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a very good performance for Johannes Richter (206-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds. Point guard Max Merz (184-94) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners. American point guard Christopher Anderson (170-92, college: San Diego) answered with 24 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 8 steals (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and forward Joschka Ferner (202-96) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Weissenhorn Youngstars. Four Fraport Skyliners II and five Weissenhorn Youngstars players scored in double figures. Fraport Skyliners II maintains fourth place in South with 11-8 record. Weissenhorn Youngstars lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 12 games lost. Fraport Skyliners II will face Saarlouis (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Weissenhorn Youngstars will play against Wuerzburg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
