The game in Kyiv was also quite interesting. Sixth ranked Bipa Basket (11-15) played at the court of 8th ranked Infiz Basket (3-22). Bipa Basket defeated Infiz Basket 76-62 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Bipa Basket. Infiz Basket was better in third quarter 19-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Infiz Basket 47-34 including 33 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for forward Evgeni Tkachenko (204-83) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 8 rebounds. The former international center Stanislav Balashov (210-79) contributed with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Bipa Basket players scored in double figures. Bipa Basket's coach Vadim Pudzyrei used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Andriy Lebedintsev (184-91) replied with 20 points and 8 assists and the former international power forward Artem Shvets (202-85) added 15 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Infiz Basket. Bipa Basket maintains sixth position with 11-15 record. Infiz Basket lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom. Bipa Basket will face Zaporizhya (#7) in Zaporozhye in the next round. Infiz Basket's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kyiv Dynamo.
