Ligaen top team - Horsens IC (23-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Stevnsgade (4-21) 97-60. The game without a history. Horsens IC led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Horsens IC players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. The winners were led by Bosnian swingman Vedran Borovcanin (200-85) who scored that evening 23 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and international guard Gabriel Lundberg (193-94) supported him with 19 points and 8 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Horsens IC players scored in double figures. Even 11 points by Hungarian guard David Balaton (188-90) did not help to save the game for Stevnsgade. American power forward Alonzo Brooks (201-84, college: Central Mo.) added 12 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Horsens IC have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 23-1 record. Stevnsgade lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh place with 21 games lost. Horsens IC will play against bottom-ranked SISU (#8) in Copenhagen in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Stevnsgade will play at home against Randers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
