Regular Season Round 20: Weissenhorn - Wuerzburg 88-75

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Weissenhorn Youngstars and 9th ranked Wuerzburg had identical 7-12 record. This time Weissenhorn Youngstars used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Wuerzburg 88-75 on Sunday night. Weissenhorn Youngstars forced 19 Wuerzburg turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Wuerzburg was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Nils Mittmann (201-79) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and naturalized Austrian point guard David Kramer (191-97) who added 12 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Four Weissenhorn Youngstars players scored in double figures. Maximilian Ugrai (202-95) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Constantin Ebert (185-96) scored 12 points and 5 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Weissenhorn Youngstars maintains eighth position in South with 8-12 record. Wuerzburg lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 13 games lost. Weissenhorn Youngstars will face higher ranked Elchingen (#5) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Wuerzburg will play against Giants (#3) and hope to win that game.
