Second Stage Round 9: Delikatesas - Ezerunas-Karys 78-74

The game between closely ranked teams ended with twelfth ranked Delikatesas' (13-21) home victory over 13th ranked Ezerunas-Karys (10-24) in Joniskis 78-74. It looked good early as Ezerunas-Karys took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Delikatesas had a 18-9 second period charge getting the lead and Ezerunas-Karys was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 74-78. Forward Darius Griskenas (194-84) stepped up and scored 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and guard Mantas Kadzevicius (194-91) chipped in 12 points and 7 assists. Four Delikatesas players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Raimundas Ambrulaitis (200-82) with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and center Edgaras Sosnovskis (206-91) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Delikatesas moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Rasai. Ezerunas-Karys at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with 24 games lost. Delikatesas will play against Rasai (#12) in Raseiniai in the next round. Ezerunas-Karys will play at home against Silute and hopes to get back on the winning track.
