Very important is a home loss of third ranked AstroStars (13-9) against seventh ranked Itzehoe (12-10) on Saturday night. Host AstroStars were defeated by Itzehoe in a tough game in Bochum 84-89. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of AstroStars. AstroStars were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. Guard Courtney Belger (187-89, college: Quincy) scored 20 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Stephan Shepherd (206-92, college: Bened.-Springfield) chipped in 14 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Ryon Howard (198-84, college: Sacred Heart) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and guard Rashaun Claiborne (193-90, college: N.Alabama) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Five Itzehoe and four AstroStars players scored in double figures. AstroStars' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Itzehoe moved-up to sixth place in North, which they share with Art.Dragons. AstroStars at the other side dropped to the fourth position with nine games lost. They share it with Oldenburg.
