Regular Season Round 24: Telekom Bsk - Walter Tigers 102-99
Date: March 6, 2016
A very interesting game took place in Bonn. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 14th ranked Walter Tigers (6-18) to thirteenth ranked Telekom Baskets (9-15) 102-99 on Sunday evening. The hosts were already 13 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 29-19 Walter Tigers' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 102-99 at the end of the game. The winners were led by American swingman Sean Marshall (198-85, college: Boston Coll.) who scored that evening 20 points and 4 assists and the other American import Aaron White (206-92, college: Iowa) supported him with 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Even a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds by the former international center Bogdan Radosavljevic (213-93) did not help to save the game for Walter Tigers. American point guard Jared Jordan (183-84, college: Marist) added 15 points and 14 assists. Four Telekom Baskets and five Walter Tigers players scored in double figures. Telekom Baskets moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Bayreuth. Walter Tigers lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifteenth position with 18 games lost. Telekom Baskets' next round opponent will be higher ranked Phoenix Hagen (#11) at home and it may be quite challenging game. Walter Tigers will play against ALBA Berlin (#6) and hope to win that game.
