The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th ranked Chernomorets' (2-19) road loss to ninth ranked Academik Plovdiv (4-17) 55-77. Academik Plovdiv outrebounded Chernomorets 39-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Serbian power forward Bosko Jovovic (205-83) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 9 rebounds. Vasil Mihaylov (202-94) contributed with 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Academik Plovdiv players scored in double figures. Forward Konstantin Koev (196-91) answered with 16 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian power forward Ilija Cvetkovic (207-88) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Chernomorets. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Academik Plovdiv maintains ninth place with 4-17 record. Chernomorets lost ninth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 19 lost games. Academik Plovdiv's next round opponent will be higher ranked Cherno More (#5) in Varna and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Chernomorets will play at home against Beroe (#3) and hope to win that game.
