Regular Season Round 26: Fraport SKY - Telekom Bsk 78-48

Date: March 20, 2016
Not a big story in a game in Frankfurt where 12th ranked Telekom Baskets (10-16) were rolled over by sixth ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (17-8) 78-48 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Deutsche Bank Skyliners. Telekom Baskets was better in second period 19-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Deutsche Bank Skyliners dominated on the defensive end, holding Telekom Baskets to just 4 points in first quarter. International center Johannes Voigtmann (210-92) scored 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international Danilo Barthel (207-91) chipped in 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Lithuanian forward Tadas Klimavicius (204-82) responded with 9 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized American forward Isaiah Philmore (203-89, college: Xavier) scored 7 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Deutsche Bank Skyliners moved-up to fifth place. Telekom Baskets at the other side keep the twelfth position with 16 games lost. Deutsche Bank Skyliners will face BG Goettingen (#16) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Telekom Baskets will play against the league's second-placed Bayern Muenchen (#2) and hope to win that game.
