Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (19-7) outleveled at home 17th ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (6-20) 97-73 on Thursday. The game without a history. EnBW Ludwigsburg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Mitteldeutscher BC's 24. EnBW Ludwigsburg forced 19 Mitteldeutscher BC turnovers. It was a great shooting night for EnBW Ludwigsburg especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. It was a great evening for forward Jon Brockman (201-87, college: Washington) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. EnBW Ludwigsburg maintains fourth place with 19-7 record. Loser Mitteldeutscher BC dropped to the sixteenth position with 20 games lost. EnBW Ludwigsburg will meet bottom-ranked Crailsheim Merlins (#18) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them.
