Leader Brose Baskets delivered the twenty fourth win on Sunday night. This time they crushed 12th ranked BBC Bayreuth (10-17) 85-53. The game without a history. Brose Baskets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Brad Wanamaker (193-89, college: Pittsburgh) who scored 11 points and 9 assists. Italian Nicolo Melli (205-91) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. Four Brose Baskets players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international center Andreas Seiferth (209-89) who recorded 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Jake Odum (193-91, college: Indiana St.) added 8 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Brose Baskets (24-2) have an impressive series of twenty two victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place. BBC Bayreuth at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 17 games lost. They share it with Telekom Bsk. Brose Baskets are looking forward to face ratiopharm Ulm (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. BBC Bayreuth will play against Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (#15) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
