Regular Season Round 24: Infiz Basket - Cherkasy 83-122

The game with biggest result difference took place in Kyiv. Local Infiz Basket (3-27) was outscored by fourth ranked Cherkasy (18-12) 122-83 on Thursday night. The game without a history. Cherkasy led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Cherkasy outrebounded Infiz Basket 56-40 including a 43-31 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists comparing to just 22 passes made by Infiz Basket's players. The best player for the winners was Anton Davydiuk (205-92) who scored 27 points and 9 rebounds. Swingman Denis Noskov (202-90) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Andriy Lebedintsev (184-91) who recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and the former international power forward Artem Shvets (202-85) added 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cherkasy maintains fourth position with 18-12 record. Infiz Basket lost eighth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 27 lost games. Cherkasy are looking forward to face league's second-placed Khimik in Yuzhny in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Infiz Basket will play at home against Mykolaiv (#6) and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
