Vechta rallied past Nuernberg to sweep the quarterfinal series. SC Rasta Vechta dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Nuernberg's 32. SC Rasta Vechta forced 20 Nuernberg turnovers. Worth to mention a quality performance of American point guard Carlos Medlock (183-87, college: E.Michigan) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 6 assists. Naturalized American swingman Travis Warech (190-91, college: Ithaca) helped adding 12 points and 9 rebounds. Five SC Rasta Vechta players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Lithuanian forward Antanas Udras (203-92, agency: Octagon Europe) with 12 points and 8 rebounds and center Robert Oehle (209-88, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 6 points and 11 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
