Regular Season Round 30: ALBA - Crailsheim 90-68
Date: April 16, 2016
Very expected game when 18th ranked Crailsheim Merlins (5-25) were rolled over on the road by sixth ranked ALBA Berlin (20-10) 90-68. The game without a history. ALBA Berlin led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. ALBA Berlin outrebounded Crailsheim Merlins 34-20 including a 13-0 advantage in offensive rebounds. 30 personal fouls committed by Crailsheim Merlins helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Bosnian center Elmedin Kikanovic (211-88, agency: Beo Basket) notched 23 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and American point guard Jordan Taylor (187-89, college: Wisconsin, agency: Three Eye Sports) supported him with 20 points. Even 17 points by American guard Antonio Graves (191-85, college: Pittsburgh) did not help to save the game for Crailsheim Merlins. The former international forward Konrad Wysocki (200-82, college: Princeton) added 11 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. ALBA Berlin maintains sixth position with 20-10 record. Crailsheim Merlins lost fifteenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 25 lost games. ALBA Berlin's next round opponent will be BBC Bayreuth (#13) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Crailsheim Merlins will play against the league's second-placed Bayern Muenchen (#2) and hope to win that game.
