Regular Season Round 34: Brose Bask. - Bremerhaven 92-77

Very predictable result when first ranked Brose Baskets (31-3) won against 15th ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (9-25) in Bamberg 92-77 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Brose Baskets. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven was better in third quarter 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Brose Baskets shot 62.7 percent from the field and made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of international Daniel Theis (204-92, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Brad Wanamaker (193-89, college: Pittsburgh) contributed with 15 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. American point guard Kyle Fogg (190-90, college: Arizona) replied with 27 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and naturalized American center Waverly Austin (211-91, college: Oregon) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Eisbaeren Bremerhaven. Five Brose Baskets and four Eisbaeren Bremerhaven players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Brose Baskets have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 31-3 record. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven at the other side keeps the fifteenth place with 25 games lost.
