Quarter-Finals Round 3: Gmunden - Oberwart 88-71

Gmunden fired past Oberwart to force the fourth game in the quarterfinal series. The game was mostly controlled by Gmunden Swans. Redwell Gunners Oberwart managed to win fourth quarter 24-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for international point guard Daniel Friedrich (181-92) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 4 assists. American forward Tre Johnson (203-91, college: Hawaii-Hilo) helped adding 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Gmunden Swans players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Quincy Diggs (198-90, college: Akron, agency: Mansfield and Associates) with 25 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import point guard Derek Jackson (185-91, college: Kent St., agency: Mansfield and Associates) scored 7 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
