Quarter-Finals Round 1: B.Muenchen - Ludwigsburg 97-80

Bayern knocked down visiting Ludwigsburg for 1-0 lead. It looked good early as EnBW Ludwigsburg took a 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Bayern Muenchen had a 28-15 second period charge getting the lead and EnBW Ludwigsburg was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 80-97. Bayern Muenchen made 31-of-37 charity shots (83.8 percent) during the game, while EnBW Ludwigsburg only scored thirteen points from the stripe. Bayern Muenchen shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. EnBW Ludwigsburg was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Naturalized Bosnian forward Nihad Djedovic (197-90, agency: Beo Basket) nailed 22 points for the winning side and American center John Bryant (208-87, college: Santa Clara) accounted for 19 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Royce O'Neale (198-93, college: Baylor) came up with 15 points and 4 assists and the other American import guard Tekele Cotton (190-93, college: Wichita St.) added 13 points and 5 assists respectively for EnBW Ludwigsburg in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. EnBW Ludwigsburg's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win.
