Regular Season Round 1: Mugla Orman - Gelisim 51-61

Muglaorman was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Izmir 61-51 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Gelisim. Muglaorman was better in fourth quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Muglaorman to just 3 points in second quarter. They outrebounded Muglaorman 47-29 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for American point guard Adonte Parker (186-89, college: Dayton) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Baris Guney (193-83, agency: 1x1 Sports) contributed with 7 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. American guard Ricky Harris (187-87, college: Massachusetts) answered with 19 points and American-Haitian center Kervin Bristol (206-88, college: Fordham) added 1 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Muglaorman. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gelisim will face Turk Telekom (#17) in Ankara in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Muglaorman will play on the road against Samsun (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
