Regular Season Round 2: Leipzig - Noerdlingen 66-73

USC Leipzig was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Noerdlingen 73-66 on Sunday night. The best player for the winners was Sudanese-American forward Adhar Mayen (203-89, college: Hawaii) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Center Adrian Lind (204-94) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Giants players scored in double figures. Giants' coach Daniel Nelson used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Darian Cardenas (198-95) produced 18 points and 7 rebounds and Jonas Niedermanner (203-96) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Giants will face Dragons Rhoendorf (#7) on the road in the next round. USC Leipzig will play against Karlsruhe PS (#8) and hope to win that game.
