Regular Season Round 3: Karlsruhe PS - Leipzig 93-77

There was no surprise when USC Leipzig (0-3) lost on the road to Karlsruhe PS (2-1) 93-77 on Saturday. Karlsruhe PS dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to USC Leipzig's 30. They outrebounded USC Leipzig 44-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. Karlsruhe PS looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for American forward Jordan Talbert (198-91, college: Missouri So.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. His fellow American import forward Orlando Parker (203-91, college: Wagner) contributed with 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Karlsruhe PS players scored in double figures. Naturalized Israeli guard Guy Aud (188-89) answered with 37 points (!!!) (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and American forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: Cal Poly Pomona) added 24 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for USC Leipzig. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Karlsruhe PS will face Weissenhorn Youngstars (#6) on the road in the next round. USC Leipzig will play against BG Karlsruhe (#11) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
