Regular Season Round 2: Stevnsgade - Randers 90-104

Date: October 11, 2016
We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when Randers (1-2) beat on the road Stevnsgade (0-2) 104-90 on Tuesday. The guests trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 104-90. Randers shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. American-Belizean point guard Charles Burgess (186-84, college: Texas Tech) orchestrated the victory by scoring 32 points and 4 assists. Forward Casper Jorgensen (201-92) contributed with 24 points for the winners. Randers' coach Morten Hansen used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Davie Champagnie (205-90, college: Martin Methodist) replied with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Mike Flowers (194-86, college: Barton, NC) added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Stevnsgade. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Randers will face Horsens IC in Horsens in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Stevnsgade will play on the road against SISU (#8) in Copenhagen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
