Date: October 14, 2016
The game with biggest result difference took place in Sakiai. Local Vytis (0-3) was outscored by Rasai (2-1) 109-76 on Friday night. The game without a history. Rasai led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Vytis' 32. Rasai shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. The best player for the winners was point guard Tomas Galeckas (183-94) who scored 29 points and 7 assists (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). Power forward Sarunas Beniusis (206-93) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Four Rasai players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Gediminas Maceina (188-84) who recorded 15 points and 7 rebounds and guard Paulius Beliavicius (194-88) added 20 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Rasai will face Mazeikiai (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Vytis will play against Zalgiris II (#14) in Kaunas and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
