Regular Season Round 1: Rilski - Balkan 91-58

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Balkan (0-1) in Samokov on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Rilski (1-0) 91-58. The game without a history. Rilski led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American point guard Kelvin Parker (184-82, college: NW Missouri St.) stepped up and scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and Croatia power forward Nenad Delic (210-84) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. Four Rilski players scored in double figures. At the losing side Montenegrin center Mihailo Sekulovic (206-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds and Montenegrin guard Amin Hott (192-92) scored 12 points and 6 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rilski will meet Cherno More (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Balkan will play against Lukoil Acad. and hope to win that game.
