Regular Season Round 3: Svendborg - Horsholm 71-60

The game between Horsholm (2-2) and Svendborg (3-1) was the most important one in the last round on Thursday night. Horsholm was defeated by Svendborg in Svendborg 71-60. The hosts trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 47-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Svendborg outrebounded Horsholm 51-26 including a 20-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Cameroonian forward Harding NaNa (203-81, college: Delaware) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Cameron Jones (193-93, college: Radford) helped adding 18 points and 8 rebounds. Jones is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Svendborg players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Asbjorn Midtgaard (209-97) with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and the former international point guard Mikael Nielsen (178-90) scored 17 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Svendborg are looking forward to face Bakken in Aarhus in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Horsholm will play on the road against Horsens IC in Horsens and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
