Everything could happen in Quakenbrueck at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Artland Dragons and 6th ranked SC Rist Wedel had identical 2-2 record. This time Artland Dragons used a home court advantage and outscored the opponent from Wedel 95-69 on Saturday night. Artland Dragons outrebounded SC Rist Wedel 47-33 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by SC Rist Wedel's players. Five Artland Dragons and four SC Rist Wedel players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Artland Dragons (3-2) moved-up to third place in North, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser SC Rist Wedel dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. Artland Dragons will face Rostock (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SC Rist Wedel will play against Recklinghausen and hope to win that game.
