Regular Season Round 6: MBC - Koeln Rh.Stars 79-64

Date: October 22, 2016
Not a big story in a game in Weissenfels where 16th ranked Koeln Rh.Stars (1-5) were defeated by third ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (5-1) 79-64 on Saturday. Mitteldeutscher BC looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Naturalized American forward Sergio Kerusch (195-89, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Andrew Warren (196-87, college: Bradley, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Chris Eversley (201-91, college: Cal Poly - SLO) with 9 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Hugh Robertson (195-89, college: S.Florida) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Koeln Rh.Stars' coach Arne Woltmann tested ten players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Mitteldeutscher BC keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Chemnitz and Kirchheim. Koeln Rh.Stars lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with five games lost. Mitteldeutscher BC will face league's leader Chemnitz on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Koeln Rh.Stars will play against Crailsheim Merlins (#5) and hope to win that game.
