Regular Season Round 3: Yesilgiresun - Fenerbahce 61-72

There was a minor upset in Giresun where Yesilgiresun Bld (2-1) was defeated by Fenerbahce (2-1) 72-61 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American forward James Nunnally (201-90, college: UCSB) who scored 14 points. Serbian swingman Bogdan Bogdanovic (198-92) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. Fenerbahce's coach Zeljko Obradovic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American Ricky Ledo (201-92, college: Providence) who recorded 17 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import Anthony Gill (203-92, college: Virginia) added 14 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively. Fenerbahce will meet at home Pinar Karsiyaka (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Yesilgiresun Bld will play against Besiktas (#3) in Istanbul and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
