Bottom-ranked Stevnsgade is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to third ranked Svendborg (4-2) 92-51 on Wednesday evening. The game without a history. Svendborg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Stevnsgade to just 7 points in first quarter. They outrebounded Stevnsgade 43-31 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. American players dominated the game. Guard Cameron Jones (193-93, college: Radford) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Darious Moten (198-92, college: Mercer) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Jones is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Svendborg players scored in double figures. Forward Nathan Gibbs (203, college: Westmont) answered with 13 points and power forward Davie Champagnie (205-90, college: Martin Methodist) added 9 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Stevnsgade. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Svendborg maintains third place with 4-2 record having just two point less than leader Bakken. Stevnsgade at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Svendborg are looking forward to face Randers (#5) on the road in the next round. Stevnsgade will play against Horsholm and hopes to get finally their first victory.
