Very predictable result when third ranked MLP Academics Heidelberg (6-1) beat at home 10th ranked Hamburg (3-4) 71-56 on Thursday. Hamburg was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Croatia guard Hrvoje Kovacevic (190-86) fired 17 points for the winners. American guard Vance Hall (193-91, college: Bellarmine) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Center Enosch Wolf (216-90, college: Connecticut) produced 10 points and 6 rebounds and center Justin Raffington (206-91, college: Florida Atlantic) added 11 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MLP Academics Heidelberg have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with MBC and Kirchheim. Loser Hamburg keeps the tenth place with four games lost.
