Another exciting game was between third ranked Mitteldeutscher BC and 4th placed Chemnitz where Mitteldeutscher BC (6-1) beat Chemnitz (5-2) on the road 79-65. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Chemnitz. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized American forward Sergio Kerusch (195-89, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Andrew Warren (196-87, college: Bradley, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 19 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Mitteldeutscher BC players scored in double figures. Forward Michael Fleischmann (205-86) answered with 13 points and American guard Chris Carter (196-92, college: Florida Tech, agency: Interperformances) added 9 points and 5 assists in the effort for Chemnitz. Mitteldeutscher BC have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Heidelberg and Kirchheim. Chemnitz at the other side keeps the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with Crailsheim. Mitteldeutscher BC will play against league's leader MLP Academics Heidelberg at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Chemnitz will play against Crailsheim Merlins and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
