Regular Season Round 7: Koblenz - Stuttgart 106-64

Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Stuttgart (2-5) was outplayed on the road by seventh ranked Koblenz (4-3) 106-64 on Saturday. Koblenz shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 61.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Stuttgart's players. Bulgaria swingman Samuel Francis (192-92, college: St.Joseph, IN) fired 28 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners. British Louis Sayers (199-92) chipped in 22 points. Koblenz's coach Josip Bosnjak felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward David Rotim (197-85) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and Montenegrin Milos Mandic (195-97) added 10 points and 13 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Stuttgart players scored in double figures. Koblenz moved-up to sixth place in South-West, which they share with Langen and Lich II. Loser Stuttgart dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Koblenz will face Saarlouis/Dillingen (#9) in the next round. Stuttgart will play against Mainz and hope to win that game.
