Regular Season Round 6: Weissenhorn - Elchingen 81-83

Important game to mention about took place in Weissenhorn. Third ranked Elchingen (4-1) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked Weissenhorn Youngstars (3-3) 83-81 on Sunday evening. Strangely Weissenhorn Youngstars outrebounded Elchingen 48-29 including a 20-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Weissenhorn Youngstars were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Canadian swingman Taevaunn Prince (190-91, college: Missouri So.) who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 9 rebounds. Filmore Beck (192-91) contributed with 19 points for the winners. American guard Devon Baulkman (193-91, college: Tennessee) replied with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and naturalized Austria point guard David Kramer (191-97) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Weissenhorn Youngstars. Four Weissenhorn Youngstars players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Elchingen moved-up to second place in South, which they share with FC Bayern II. Weissenhorn Youngstars at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Elchingen will play against league's leader Karlsruhe PS on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Weissenhorn Youngstars will play against Licher Basket (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
